The fourth season of For All Mankind was renewed on July 22, 2022.[1] The new season premiered on November 10, 2023, with weekly releases every Friday through January 12, 2024.[2]
The season starts on March 17, 2003, about 7½ years after season 3 ended.[3]
Premise[]
Rocketing into the new millennium in the eight years since season 3, Happy Valley has rapidly expanded its footprint on Mars by turning former foes into partners. Now 2003, the focus of the space program has turned to the capture and mining of extremely valuable, mineral-rich asteroids that could change the future of both Earth and Mars. But simmering tensions between the residents of the now-sprawling international base threaten to undo everything they are working towards.[4]
Production & promotion[]
Filming began in August 2022 and concluded in February 2023.[5] For the first time in the series, filming included a production unit outside of Los Angeles, with Soviet Union scenes being filmed in SofiaW, Bulgaria.[6]
On September 13, a first teaser was published in the form of a Helios Aerospace recruiting advertisement. A day later, an "official Helios Aerospace website" was launched, including another two short videos.
After a month, on October 18, the trailer and key art was released during New York Comic Con, along with an early screening of the season premiere for convention guests.
