History[]
Kelly Baldwin is doing biological research at McMurdo. By 1992, Kelly has spent 2 years at the station searching for microbial life, in the most inhospitable environment of Earth. When NASA is recruiting its personnel for their preponed 1994 mission to Mars, this is her biggest trump to apply for a seat.[1]
