The Mars-7 Alliance is a treaty aimed to end the competition which characterized the Space Race, ushering a new era of cooperation and partnership.[1]
History[]
The Mars-7 Treaty was signed in Brussels in 1997 by President Ellen Wilson and Premiere Mikhail Gorbachev to bring a new era of cooperation. The treaty was joined by Japan, India, the ESA, North Korea, and the Coalition of Communist Countries for Spaceflight (CCCS). Canada and China remained independent to pursue their own priorities in space.[1]

- No individual member of the M-7 has authority over base disciplinary action.[2]
- Any nation has the right to recall one of its citizens from Mars at their discretion.[2]
- Any North Korean ujunaut on a joint mission must be able to communicate privately with their superior officers.[3]
