Cape Kennedy (green)
The John F. Kennedy Space Center, formerly "NASA Launch Operation Center", mostly referred to as Kennedy Space Center or just KSC, is one of NASA's field centers and a launch center for human spaceflight.
General information[]
The center is located on Merrit Island, FloridaW and consists of several facilities, including two launch complexes and a Space Shuttle landing strip. It is adjacent to Cape Kennedy and was constructed between 1962 and 1963, when NASA required an expansion of launch operations after president John F. Kennedy's declared goal of a crewed lunar landing by 1970, and the Cape's capabilities became too limited.

Behind the scenes[]
In the series, images of the KSC are also used for Cape Kennedy, which might be even more confusing beside the similar names of the two different sites.
