The International Space Port (ISP) is a space station in Earth's orbit, used as space port and transfer station for interplanetary spaceflight.
History[]
The station was built at some point between 1996 and 1999.[1] [2]
On New Year's Day 2000, the station's computers were affected by the so called "Y2K" bug, wreaking havoc after the computer's clocks reset.[1]
The space port is used as transfer station by the spaceship Unity of Helios Aerospace for their Mars route. Unity travels between the ISP and the space station Phoenix in Martian orbit.[3]

Behind the scenes[]
The "International Space Port" appears to be the show's version of the International Space Station ISS. In reality, the first ISS component was launched in 1998, and the first long-term residents arrived two years later in November 2000. The station has since been continuously occupied.
