George Herbert Walker Bush was the 45th vice president of the United States.[1] Prior to his role as vice president he served as Secretary of State to President Ellen Wilson.[2]
History[]
Bush was tapped to be Secretary of State by the incoming Wilson administration. During the fallout of Ellen Wilsons's coming out, he suggested that she fight impeachment and not resign. During the 1996 presidential election, he was picked by Wilson to draw moderate Republicans to her side and beat her former vice president James Bragg in the Republican primaries. The Wilson/Bush ticket eked out a victory in 1996 against Jerry Brown.[1]
He would serve as vice president for four years. In the 2000 election he was the Republican nominee and faced former vice president Al Gore, but lost to Gore in a close race.[3]

In OTL, Bush was the 41st president of the United States from 1989-1993 and instead of Richard Schweiker's he was Ronald Reagan's vice president from 1981-1989. He passed away in 2018 at age 94.
