Garrett Reisman is a NASA astronaut and Space Shuttle pilot.
History[]
Reisman piloted the Space Shuttle Columbia which brought Ellen Wilson, Wubbo Ockels, and Molly Cobb back to Earth after the solar flare incident in May 1983.[1]
Later that year, Reisman was the pilot of the Columbia mission that brought Gordo Stevens to the Moon after a 10 years absence.[2]

Garrett Reisman is the real name of the actor, who was a consultant of the series during season 1 and at the beginning of season 2. Reisman is a former NASA astronaut, he flew with 3 different Space Shuttles and was on the International Space Station for several missions. He is a Professor of Astronautics Practice and a consultant at SpaceX. He was allowed for a cameo as shuttle pilot in two episodes of season 2.
