- Some templates or modules create example links to nonexistent pages, like when the behavior of a template is demonstrated. This may result in links to pages like for example "Foo (disambiguation)", a page that obviously will never be created.
- Normally, such links appear as redlinks, which makes the page linked to appear in the Special: WantedPages list. However, since they are NOT meant to be ever created, they are redirected to this placeholder page.
- This page can also be used for any test links in doumentations that should appear like a valid link.
