These are the For All Mankind Wiki discussion guidelines. They are part of this wiki's rules, policies & guidelines.

General

These guidelines generally apply to all type of discussions on this wiki, like on the discussion forum, on message walls, and also on talk pages.
However, some of the rules below are discussion forum specific, in particular rules #2, #3, and #4.
A simpler text-only version of these rules is also accessible on the discussion forum page.
Article comments are disabled on this wiki. Instead, use the discussion forum and tag the related article. If tagged correctly, a link to that post will be displayed on the bottom of the related article(s).
For discussions about the content or layout of a specific article, it's recommended to use that article's talk page.

Rules

  1. Post title
Always choose a meaningful but short title that describes your post best.
  2. Choose the correct category
In the discussion forum, choose the appropriate category for your post. Discussion categories are:
» Press RoomFor any news about the show
» Conference RoomFor series & episode discussions
» The OutpostFor general chit-chat about the show, and also all kind of off-topic stuff
» Planning RoomFor anything that is related to this wiki, its articles, content, or about editing.
Note that for content & layout discussions of specific articles, that article's talk page may be the more appropriate place.
    Staff only categories:
    » Mission ControlFor Wiki announcements
    » ArchiveFor archived posts

⇨ Please do not use the "General" category.
  3. Tagging articles
If your topic is about a specific article, e.g. a season, episode, character, or event, add that article as a tag. This will make the post appear at the bottom of that article.
⇨ Do NOT tag unrelated articles.
⇨ Only tag the most related article(s). Do not "over-tag" posts.
  4. No spoilers in titles
If your post contains spoilers of unreleased episodes, tag it in the title like this: [Spoiler] Post title
    See also our Spoiler policy.
  5. Be nice and treat others with respect
Keep discussions civil and be open-minded about differing opinions. Rude comments or insults will not be tolerated and may result in a block.
  6. Off-topic rules
Off-topic conversations in the discussion forum are allowed as long as they are somehow related to the show, its topic, or its actors or producers.
Example: You are free to discuss the current Artemis program, Ronald D. Moore's new show, or Joel Kinnaman's next role, but you cannot discuss current politics.

Off-topic chatting on message walls is allowed as long as it stays civil and is not breaking any of our other rules, particularly those outlined in our Community Guidelines.
  7. Spamming & trolling
Spamming or trolling of any kind is not tolerated and may lead to your account being blocked.
    See also our blocking policy.
  8. Impersonation & block evasion
Impersonation of other users or famous people is not tolerated.
If you have been blocked and return with a new account, your posts will be deleted and your new account(s) will be blocked as well.
    See also our blocking policy.
  9. Ask for help
Notice something that seems wrong, or just have a question? Contact this wiki's staff, we're happy to help.
You can find the wiki's admins here.
