This is the warning & blocking policy of the For All Mankind Wiki. It is part of this wiki's rules, policies & guidelines.
General
- On the For All Mankind Wiki, we always assume good faith. We believe that blocking a user should only be the last possible solution. We also see a possible block more as of a cool down period than a punishment for most cases. Therefore, long or even infinite blocks will be an exception.
- If you break some of our rules or policies, you most probably will receive at least one or several warnings before a block is considered. However, in some cases, an instant block is also possible.
- We generally don't have overly strict rules. Most of our rules are based on common sense. However, we do have very strict rules regarding the naming of uploaded images, as many of our templates rely on a certain naming pattern. See our image policy for details.
Blocking rules
- Users may be blocked on this wiki for the following reasons:
- Vandalism, spamming or trolling
- Harassment, including hounding, personal or legal threats, posting of personal information, or repeated messaging and ignoring requests to be left alone
- Making personal attacks on another user
- Continual edit warring
- Sockpuppetry and ban evasion
- Asking other users for personal information, such as age, location, etc.
- Recurring non-compliance with our rules, policies, or guidelines, despite former warnings
- Block durations start at 24 hours (for minor infractions) and up to 2 weeks, and will increase to weeks, month(s), or more for repeated and/or multiple offenses.
- In cases of excessive or recurring violations of our rules, a block may also be issued infinitely.
- The following violations may lead to an immediate block without prior warning:
- Obvious vandalism that doesn't leave room for assuming good faith
- Minor vandalism on several pages
- Advertisement spam
- Uploading or posting of NSFW images
Appealing a block
- If you feel you have been blocked unfairly, you can appeal your block on the Community Central message wall of the admin that issued the block.
- Blocks up to one week cannot be appealed.
