Dr. Kouri is a NASA physician who served at the lunar base Jamestown in 1983.
History[]
Part of the Jamestown 86 mission, Dr. Kouri was serving as the station's doctor from May to September 1983. She examined Molly Cobb and medicated Wubbo Ockels after they were stuck in a lava tube on the lunar surface during the solar storm on May 21.[1]
After Moon Marines shot two cosmonauts near the US mining site 357 Bravo, she monitored cosmonaut Rolan Baranov's condition, who survived the shooting but lost consciousness. She presented him to the Soviet doctor Dimitri Mayakovsky, who was allowed to visit Jamestown after the incident, but refused to ready Baranov for transport to Zvezda, as in her opinion he would not survive a relocation at his current condition.[2]
Kouri was also at Jamestown during the following attack on the base by Soviet cosmonauts.[3]
