Space Shuttle Discovery is an American spacecraft. The spaceplane is one of the ten first generation Space Shuttles in NASA's fleet.
History[]
On May 20, 1983, Discovery was in turnaround on the West Coast, together with the two sister ships Enterprise and Endeavour.[1]
Around June 23, Discovery launched for its mission STS-83-O to bring Tracy Stevens, Paul DeWeese and astronauts Cook and Rogers to the Moon for Jamestown 89. On the return flight, it took the crew of Jamestown 83 back to Earth.[2] The mission was piloted by Dealino and W. Pendle.[3]
Discovery was scheduled for mission STS-84-B to bring the crew of Jamestown 93 to the Moon.[2]
