Charles Moss Duke Jr. is an American astronaut at NASA.

History

Duke was CAPCOM for Apollo 11, the first American manned Moon landing in mid July 1969. He also served at least partly as CAPCOM for Jamestown 2, and was intended to do so for Apollo 23 as well.

Duke was part of the Apollo 16 crew, NASA's sixth manned Moon mission in April 1972.
