Bjørn Alexander was supposedly cast for the role after he had added a snippet of himself speaking Dutch in his audition video, specifically a monologue from the 2004 Norwegian sketch show Team Antonsen. As the sketches in question were unsubbed during original broadcasts and on VoD until 2019, the vast majority of viewers (Bjørn included, as well as most Norwegian news sites at the time) thought it was fake Dutch-like sounds, but the casting crew recognized it as real Dutch.
