William "Bill" Strausser is an engineer and a former flight controller and flight director who worked for NASA for over 30 years before he changed to Helios Aerospace.

Bill was working for NASA for at least 30 years. In 1992, he quit and instead joined Helios Aerospace for their Mars mission project because "it's just a lot more money" and for wanting to feel appreciated for once in his career.[1]

After the Bombing of Johnson Space Center, Bill was buried in three tons of rebar and concrete. Bill was left with a shattered pelvis and his spinal cord severed, leaving him paralyzed. When Aleida Rosales contacted him over 7 years later, he expressed his frustration with her for giving up her position at NASA before signing over his Helios shares for a hostile takeover of the company.[2][3]

Bill Strausser is one of the few supporting characters present in all 4 seasons of For All Mankind. He first appeared in the very first episode of the series, Red Moon.
