The Apollo program was a United States human spaceflight program carried out from 1961 to 1983 by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), with the aim to land American astronauts on the Moon, and later build and maintain a lunar outpost. The program used the Saturn IB and Saturn V launch vehicles to lift the Command and Service Module (CSM) and the Lunar Excursion Module (LEM) and later the Lunar Surface Access Module (LSAM) spacecrafts into space. The final Apollo mission was Apollo 75, used for the Apollo-Soyuz docking mission in Earth's orbit in fall 1983.

Notes[]

  • Apollo 1 is mentioned only, but happened 2 ½ years before the show's first episode and happened the same as OTL with the crew being killed in a fire during training.
  • Apollo 13 & 14 are shortly mentioned but nothing is known about them.[1]
  • Apollo 37 was mentioned in its crew naming the peaks of the Shackleton crater "Lenny" and "Squiggy".[2]
  • There is nothing known about the other missions after Apollo 25, which appear to have happened during the time jump between the first and the second season of For All Mankind.
