Apollo 18 was a crewed spaceflight mission by NASA. The crew included astronauts Gordo Stevens, Danielle Poole, and Vance Brand.
The mission tested the new Lunar Surface Access Module (LSAM) lander.[note 1]

- Apollo 18 happened between Oct. 1971 and Aug. 1974 during a time jump between episodes 1x05 and 1x06.
- The only thing known about this mission is the misson patch with the astronaut's names.
- Deke Slayton mentioned it after the Soviet Moon landing when he told the astronauts that training for Apollo 12 through 20 will continue as planned as long as there are no other decisions coming from top.[1]
- It was also mentioned by Gordo, who welcomed Danielle to Apollo 18 when they met in Outpost.[2]
- Vance Brand did not appear in the series.
Behind the Scenes[]
Apollo 18 in the OTL was planned to land at Copernicus Crater but was canceled after the Apollo 13 accident. Vance Brand served as command module pilot in the OTL Apollo–Soyuz Test Project.
