Apollo 18 was a manned spaceflight mission by NASA. The crew included Gordo Stevens, Danielle Poole, and Vance Brand^W.

The mission probably tested the new Lunar Surface Access Module (LSAM) lander.^{[note 1]}

↑ This is assumed from the mission patch. The LSAM was first seen on screen with Apollo 22.

Apollo 18 happened between Oct. 1971 and Aug. 1974 during a time jump between episodes 1x05 and 1x06.
The only thing known about this mission is the misson patch with the astronaut's names.
Deke Slayton mentioned it after the Soviet Moon landing when he told the astronauts that training for Apollos 12 - 20 will continue as planned as long as there are no other decisions coming from top.^[1]
It was also mentioned by Gordo, who welcomed Danielle to Apollo 18 when they met in Outpost.^[2]
Vance Brand did not appear in the series.

Apollo 18^W in the OTL was planned to land at Copernicus Crater^W but was canceled after the Apollo 13 accident^W. Vance Brand served as commander in the OTL Apollo–Soyuz Test Project^W.
